Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AURA Commerce (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, onboarding flows, dashboard, and related managed platform services (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy and our Terms.

AURA Commerce is operated by AADHARAV Technologies Private Limited, India.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: phone number used for login (OTP-based), and optional profile details you provide (such as name and email).
  • Business Information: business name, address/location, category, public store details, links (e.g., Maps/Instagram), and images (logos, banners, gallery/product images) you upload.
  • Orders & Customer Details: order information created via your store or POS flows (such as items, totals, delivery mode), and customer contact details (such as phone number) when required for order confirmation and delivery coordination.
  • Usage Data: device type, browser/app version, pages viewed, time on page, clicks and actions within the Services; approximate location derived from IP.
  • Payments: online payments (if enabled) are processed by authorized payment partners (e.g., Razorpay). We do not store your full card or bank account details on our servers. Payment partners process payment-related data under their own privacy policies. Offline payments (cash/POS) are recorded as payment mode selections for order tracking.
  • Support: content of messages/emails and information you share when you contact support.
  • Initial Setup & Authorized Support Access: during initial onboarding, and when you explicitly request platform-related support, authorized administrators may access your merchant account to assist with setup, configuration, or issue resolution. Such access is limited, logged, and used only for platform support and operational assistance — not for running your business.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and operate the Services (onboarding, store setup, dashboard, publishing, analytics).
  • Authenticate users (including OTP verification), maintain sessions, and prevent fraud or misuse.
  • Enable core commerce workflows such as catalog management, orders, customer verification, and POS-style order capture.
  • Provide initial onboarding support and setup assistance, and ongoing platform-related support when requested by you, including limited account-level access by authorized administrators for troubleshooting, configuration, or issue resolution. Day-to-day business operations and customer handling remain the merchant’s responsibility.
  • Send service communications (e.g., OTPs, confirmations, alerts, updates).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
  • Analyse usage to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.

We collect and use information only for lawful and legitimate purposes related to providing and improving our services, in line with applicable Indian data protection laws.

We do not sell or rent personal information. Data is used only to provide the AURA Commerce platform and its features.

3. Sharing & Disclosure

  • Payment Processors: Online payments (if enabled) are handled securely by authorized third-party providers (e.g., Razorpay). Their respective privacy policies govern payment data they process. We do not store full card or bank account details on our servers.
  • Vendors: hosting, storage, analytics, communications, and infrastructure providers under contracts with appropriate safeguards.
  • Legal: if required by law, to protect rights, safety, or prevent fraud.
  • Business Transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, we may transfer data as permitted by law.

Note: Authorized administrators may access merchant accounts only for platform support or admin-assisted setup when requested by the merchant. This is controlled, logged access and does not constitute sharing of data with third parties.

4. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and secure infrastructure.

5. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, to comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion or export where legally and operationally feasible.

6. Your Choices & Rights

  • Access & Update: manage profile and business details from your dashboard.
  • Export/Deletion: email us to request a copy or deletion of your data.
  • Consent: where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
  • Cookies/Tracking: control via browser settings (see “Cookies & Tracking” below).

7. Data Hosting

We use trusted cloud service providers to host and process data securely. Data may be processed or stored in India or other jurisdictions depending on infrastructure, performance, and service requirements. Where cross-border processing occurs, we apply appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential operations (including authentication and session management), analytics, and improving the product. You can restrict cookies via your browser settings; however, core features like login and dashboard access may not function without them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Your continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Policy.
